New Spiral Spinner Blade - The Montana Blade
A few years ago I had an idea. What if a spinner blade could change shape and wrap around the beads as it was pulled through the water. The idea sat there for a while and then I decided to give it a try. In the bathtub in my basement I tested the first one......it wasn't perfect, but it worked!
So I kept playing with the design using different materials and shapes to try to get more action and slow speed rotation. In the spring of 2017, I shared the final design for the spinner blade with some good friends and they fished it for the summer. It worked great! From Lake Erie (with Jim Hanley a walleye fishing guide - northeastoutdoors.com) to our local lakes here in Montana, the blade out fished our other blades. You know it is working great when you get a message from Jim "send more blades - Orange Please!" and attached is a picture with a bunch of fish.
Like most things, it doesn't happen as fast as we would like and it took more work than I expected to get all the pieces of the puzzle in place. But as I sit here....about to hit "launch" on the website (www.ramlures.com), I am truly proud of the Montana Blade. From its slow speed life-like action to its shape shifting ability, the blade is still light-weight and simple. In the end, I hope this blade helps you catch more fish, it's like nothing they have ever seen before. Scott
